READERS' CHOICES (12/3/11)

Since I've started this blog I've heard from many readers.  Everyone has been so enthusiastic and of course everyone wants to share their book recommendation...so here's a few!!

THE NIGHT CIRCUS BY ERIN MORGANSTERN
(This book was recommended by a reader on the treadmill at the gym between gasps!!)
Supposedly "magical" about two illusionists bound to each other in a contest that will span their lives. "Beautifully Written" ...."Many Stories Intertwined" ...Involves a mysterious circus and it's two stars. (Was chosen by Amazon as September's Best Book.)

SOMEONE KNOWS MY NAME BY LAWRENCE HILL
My friend, Faye recommended this book. She claims it was the best book she ever read, and she reads a lot!!! Reviewers labeled this book as "stunning" and "wrenching". It depicts a woman who has journeyed through slavery and inhumanity ....."Stunning historical fiction based on fact"

CROOKED LETTER, CROOKED LETTER BY TOM FRANKLIN
"Rockport,"another blog reader, recommended this book by Edgar Award winning author Tom Franklin.
The novel revolves around two men who were childhood friends.  It's an emotional poignant story leading to a girl's disappearance, racial tension, and buried secrets. One reviewer called it "A ripping good mystery"

NEW YORK BY EDWARD RUTHERFORD
"Rockport" also recommended  this book, which is an "engrossing saga combining a cast of fictional and true characters whose fates rise and fall."  Reviewers say it keeps readers engaged throughout and is a  "great novel about a great city."
