STONER BY JOHN WILLIAMS
This book was originally written in 1965 and reprinted in 2007. The best book I've read in years!
Simply put, it's a beautiful, serious and moving novel about a man's life. Read it!
THE CAT'S TABLE BY MICHAEL ONDAATJE
Reviewers say this is the best novel since his Booker Prize-winning, The English Patient. The novel
tells of a journey from childhood to the adult world as well as a boat passage from a homeland to another country.
DREAMS OF JOY BY LISA SEE
A recurring theme from Lisa See's Shanghai Girls, this novel is one of those "Hard to put down" books. A story of strong willed women and unbreakable family bonds. Better than Shanghai Girls but a bit of a soap opera feel....In spite of that, I liked it!
